Yesterday afternoon spent wondering around in The Yas Mall, mostly discovering the House of Fraser on a new “level”- literally, as I realized the HOF shopping experience has expanded to the ground floor (never seen that before, my mistake).
House of Fraser Middle East, part of the british department store, has recently launched their Home section, located on the ground floor. As characteristic to this high-endish concept store, the home section does not dissappoint. The store itself hasn’t got a huge stock of their selectively choosen products but they display a good variety of uniqness, giving just a hint of everything one can find under its roof if truly interested.
I particularly liked the wide variety of bath towels they carry as well as their one and only bedding displayed, with a big head of bear as the main design element.
The department store is not yet ranked among the most luxurious shops of its kind in its home country, the UK, but here, in the UAE got a different vibe, a more high-end feel, similar of a concept store.
How comes?!- quite simple and yet very smart. Thanks to their positioning and generic presence on the UAE fashion market-, driven by their desire to get closer to the local culture-, they carry an extensive range of designs from authentic local brands, which,- given the country’s demand for highly luxurious and unique pieces-, makes it rather a concept store than a simple department store.
Every time I step into the store, I wonder and wonder at the simply beautiful clothes on display. I’m still in love with those high-low ball gown skirts.
Unfortunately I couldn’t take photos due to tehnical reasons, all that I got is a few snap in the Home section.
